What parts are included with the engines?

Each engine is different. Some engines come with the transmission and ECU (Computer) as well as the axles, engine mounts and half shaft, while some engines will only come with the engine alone and some will only have the engine and transmission. You can view each engine description for a complete list of parts included, though some of the parts that come with all of our engines include: starter, distributor, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, alternator, sensors, throttle body, fuel rail, complete cylinder block and cylinder head.

What is an engine "swap"?

An engine "Swap" simply means dropping out your old motor and installing another one into your car.

Does JSA buy back my old motor? Is there a core charge?
|

At JSA Motors we do not give you a core charge for your old engine nor do we buy back the old engine. We only sell.

What parts are not included with the engines?
|
|
Any part that would be on the engine bay and not the engine itself will not be included. We do not include parts like fuel pump or radiator - These are parts of the engine bay and are not part of the engine. The engine wiring harness is always included unless otherwise noted - They may be cut or complete but they will always be on the engine. For most engines you cannot use the japanese wiring and you must use your existing wiring. View our product descriptions for the complete list of parts included.

Do I need to change any part on the engine? Such as pulleys, belts, gaskets?
|
|
For Head Gaskets, they do not need to be changed unless the engine is leaking oil. For Timing belts it is always recommended on older engines. For Drive Belts it is recommend you change them since they may have hardended from not having run in several months.

Do Turbocharged engines come with the Turbo?
|
|
Yes, all our turbocharged engines come with the stock OEM turbo. The engines were taken out of the cars and no parts were taken off the engine. So the engines come complete with all accessories and turbo.
